Abstract:Fucoxanthin is a kind of carotenoid mainly present in seaweed，which has important physiological activities in anti-cancer，anti-oxidation，anti-obesity，blood lipid regulation and treatment of cognitive dysfunction.In this article，related documents in domestic and foreign were synthesized and analyzed，and the latest research progress in the extraction，separation，purification and content determination of fucoxanthin were explained systematically，hoping to provide technical support for the effective development and utilization of fucoxanthin.
