Abstract:This article systematically reviews relevant research findings in recent years in China and abroad，focusing on the potential pathogenic mechanisms of irritable bowel syndrome （IBS），the changes and characteristics of gut microbiota in patients with IBS，as well as the latest research progress on the efficacy and mechanisms of different probiotic strains applied to IBS.This study aimed to provide a more systematic and scientific reference for research on the application of different probiotic strains in improving IBS symptoms，in order to promote further development in this field.
