Abstract:The objective of this paper was to evaluate the in vitro antioxidant，antibacterial，and antitumor activities of polyphenol extract of honey peach.To be specific，ethanol was used to extract polyphenols from honey peach and in vitro antioxidant assays were carried out to analyze DPPH·scavenging，superoxide anion（O2-·）scavenging，ABTS+·scavenging abilities，and total reducing power of the polyphenol extract.The test tube method was employed to assess the antibacterial activity of the polyphenol extract and MTT assay to evaluate the antitumor proliferation effect.The results showed the DPPH·，ABTS+·，and O2-·scavenging rates of the polyphenol extract were high.In the presence of polyphenols at 0.16 mg/mL，the scavenging rates hit（89.14±6.82）%，（75.83±6.36）%，and （71.55±8.04）%，respectively，and the total reducing power was 1.36±0.13.The polyphenols of honey peach showed satisfactory inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus，Saccharomyces cerevisiae，Streptococcus，Escherichia coli，Pseudomonas aeruginosa，and Rhizopus stolonifer，especially R.stolonifer and E.coli.In addition，the polyphenols suppressed the proliferation of human gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells and human cervical cancer HeLa cells in vitro，suggesting the antitumor activity.In summary，polyphenols of honey peach have antioxidant，antibacterial，and antitumor activities.
