中文摘要: 槟榔是我国一种特色咀嚼食品,广泛分布于我国南部地区及东南亚等国。大量研究表明,槟榔具有驱虫、助消化、抗抑郁、抗炎、抗衰老、抗氧化和抗菌等生物活性。但是近年来,随着槟榔产业的迅速发展,槟榔潜在的健康隐患逐渐引起人们的重视。研究发现,长期咀嚼槟榔会引起口腔黏膜下纤维化。此外,槟榔还存在生殖毒性,会对细胞和器官产生损伤。该文对近年来国内外关于槟榔的化学成分及其生物活性和毒理学的研究进行综述,为槟榔产品的食用安全、产品开发以及产业发展提供参考。
Abstract:Areca catechu L. is a characteristic chewing food in China and is widely distributed in southern China and Southeast Asia. A large number of studies have shown that A. catechu L. has anthelmintic,digestion-promoting,antidepressant,anti-inflammatory,anti-aging,antioxidant,antibacterial,and other biological activities.However,in recent years,with the rapid development of the A. catechu L. industry,the potential health hazards of A. catechu L. have gradually attracted people's attention. Studies have found that long-term chewing of A.catechu L. can cause oral submucosal fibrosis. In addition,A. catechu L. also has reproductive toxicity,which can cause damage to cells and organs. This article reviewed the research on the chemical composition,biological activity,and toxicology of A. catechu L. in China and abroad in recent years,providing references for the edible safety,product development,and industrial development of A. catechu L. products.
