Abstract:Seabuckthorn is a kind of drug and food homologous plant，which contains rich bioactive substances，such as amino acids，fatty acids，polysaccharides，vitamins，flavonoids and sterols，and has high nutritional value and medicinal value.In this paper，the characteristics of bioactive components in seabuckthorn and corresponding extraction methods were summarized.Meanwhile，the nutrition function and present utilization of seabuckthorn were also reviewed.Besides，the development problems of sea buckthorn product were analyzed，providing theoretical basis for the development of sea buckthorn.
