Abstract:Plant essential oils，as a natural source of bacteriostatic substances，are used more and more widely in the field of food preservation.The preparation method of antibacterial film containing essential oil was summarized.The swelling ability，mechanical properties，water vapor barrier properties，antibacterial properties of films were evaluated as well as applications of it in food preservation was described.By summarizing，this paper pointed out the problems of essential oil antibacterial film materials，future research focus as well as development trend of it，and provided ideas for the further development of essential oil antibacterial film.
