Abstract:Steroidal glycoalkaloids were naturally occurring，secondary plant metabolites that are found in potatoes.It could cause human and animal poisoning，and also had a variety of biological activity.The potato steroidal glycoalkaloids were discussedfrom the aspects of chemical structure，distribution，physical activity and synthesis pathway.The results provideda reference for the rational use ofsteroidal glycoalkaloids in the future.
