Abstract:Ion chromatography has the characteristics of simplicity，quickness，high sensitivity and selectivity，and has the characteristics of simultaneous determination of ionic compounds.Ion chromatography is a ideal method for the determination of cations，anions，organic acids，amines and carbohydrates in food.In this paper，recent application progress in determination of food by Ion chromatography technologies were reviewed and commented，and the new technologies and the abstacle to determination of food by ion chromatography were also discussed，in ordor to provide references for its further development and applications in the field of food safety．
