Abstract:In recent years， the supply of safe， nutritious and sustainable food has faced great challenges due to environmental pollution， population growth and resource constraints. The new technologies have become the key driving forces for empowering the food industry， broadening the boundaries of the food industry， and introducing more production scenarios into the food sector. The development of synthetic biotechnology can solve various challenges in the food industry， such as reducing the environmental pressure by traditional farming，improving agricultural production efficiency， and realizing the iterative upgrading of the food industry. In this paper， the applications of synthetic biotechnology in research and innovation of new food tapes， food nutrition improvement， food packaging materials， food additives and other fields are described in detail， with a view to providing new insights into the future innovation and development of the new food industry.
