Abstract:With the continuously increasing human demand for marine resources，the research and development of marine-derived resources have garnered extensive attention. In comparison to collagen derived from livestock and poultry，active collagen sourced from marine animals possesses several advantages，including rich biological resources，low allergenicity，strong antioxidant properties，high safety，and no religious restrictions. This review summarized recent domestic and foreign research on the extraction of active collagen from various marine animals and introduces its research progress in the fields of food and medicine The aim was to provide a reference for the development and utilization of marine-derived active collagen.
