Abstract:Black maize is a variety of maize with rich nutritional value.The origin of black maize was introduced in this paper,along with the comparison of its nutritional and functional components with other crops.Moreover,the current situation of development and application of black maize in China was summarized.Additionally,the future development prospects were deeply analysed.
