Abstract:Food for special medical purpose is formulated food to meet the particular needs of the sick population for nutrients or meals，and it can achieve the effect of adjuvant treatment through nutritional support.The related standards and the current status of industry，formula design，special batching preparation technology and product manufacturing technology of food for special medical purpose were summarized in this paper.At the same time，problems were also pointed out and the development of food for special medical purpose in China was also prospected.
